The Danish Windmill is excited to announce a donation from Marne Elk Horn Telephone Company in the amount of $2000. The Danish Windmill will celebrate its 35-year anniversary of the Mill’s journey from Nørre Snede, Denmark to Elk Horn, Iowa. In 1976, volunteers’ painstakingly shingled the eight sided mill. These original shingles are still on the windmill today, but they are showing much deterioration. This donation from Marne Elk Horn Telephone will serve as seed money for future fund-raising project s to help pay for this huge project.
