Description

The little robin puffs his feathers on a branch in the snow-covered King’s Garden in Copenhagen. He listens intently to the sounds of the garden and watches as Copenhageners pass by him in the winter landscape. The snow is falling silently, and the sun said goodnight, leaving a crisp and starry night to shine on Rosenborg Castle. This year, the motif of the Bing & Grondahl Annual Plate Series depicts the King’s Garden in Copenhagen, situated by Rosenborg Castle and founded in 1606 by King Christian the 4th. The Bing & Grøndahl Annual Plate has been issued every year since 1985.
