Licorice combined with fresh chili is a good example of how two natural forces can create a new taste sensation. Sweet licorice with spicy Habanero chili – prepare for a hot yet harmonious bite. We have the classic Scandinavian licorice flavors, such as SWEET and SALTY, the American classic RED, which in our version is raw licorice with fruity notes and licorice added to other exquisite & natural flavors, which together with licorice create a new, unique and harmonious taste, as seen in licorice with HABANERO chili. We use rice flour that is taste-neutral, which makes other flavors in the licorice more prominent. In addition, rice flour is gluten-free. The characteristic taste of licorice in the licorice root is shaped by the soil and climate in which it grows. This means that the taste varies depending on where the licorice root is harvested and we therefore use licorice roots from different places around the world when we produce our licorice in Denmark.
